Babylon Options
General Tab
Use this tab to modify settings that define how Babylon Mobile Edition is activated and to set your personal preferences.
  • Enable OCR support: When selected, Babylon Mobile Edition uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) in order to capture text for translation. This option is selected by default.
  • Activate from system tray icon: When selected, Babylon Mobile Edition can be activated using the Babylon icon on the system tray at the top of the screen. You can drag the icon to the text you want to translate or tap on the text and then on the icon to initiate a search. Selected by default, this option will not be available if OCR support is disabled.
  • Activate from system menus: When selected, the Translate option appears on the context menu of commonly used Windows Mobile applications whenever you tap and hold the stylus on text. Tap the Translate option to initiate a search for the text's translation. Selected by default, this option will not be available if OCR support is disabled.
  • Stay updated with Babylon's latest news: Select this check box and enter your e-mail address in the Email box below if you wish to receive news from Babylon. If you opted to receive updates from Babylon during setup, the check box is selected and the e-mail address you provided already appears in the Email box.
  • Clear term history list: Tap the Clear history button to clear the list of the last 20 terms translated using Babylon Mobile Edition. The history list can be viewed by tapping the arrow next to the Search box in the main Babylon window.
